For individuals that are dealing with upset stomach or feeling weary after getting a rich and sumptuous meal it sometime becomes difficult to deal with it. There are a lot of individuals that are found to deal with this in general after party or excess eating or after a long holiday. The first solution that such people look for are antacids, laxatives, etc.

One thing is for sure, you cannot simply thing about following a diet plan exclusive of cakes, chips and other bad foods. But there are certain important things that you need to go through to ensure you prepare a successful diet plan.

There are processed foods that often lead to upset stomach. People that add excess or over processed foods to their diet are found to feel increased stomach and digestion problems, very regularly. Such foods often result in clogging of the colon and fill it with toxins. There are foods that often lead to slow down the digestive tract, which results in slow digestion, further leading to constipation and weight gain. Such foods include meat, white flour, sodas, etc.

With the growth of medical science there are different treatments that can be found, however there are still a lot of people that are dealing with increase in stomach related diseases like colitis, acid reflux and so on. This has also lead to diseases that were lost once but now can be found in a lot of people.

There are researches that suggest people dealing with diabetes that consumed cinnamon were able to reduce their blood sugar levels and cholesterol levels, when they ate cinnamon consecutively for a few weeks. Cinnamon contains methylhydroxychalcone polymers, which synthesizes the sugar present in the body. Cinnamon can be added to diet, with oatmeal, cereal or even add it to the morning coffee.

Beets are another great nutritious fruit that one can eat for good health. These contain two great nutrientsfolate and betaine, these make it the best red root vegetable. The nutrients present in this vegetable help to decrease the homocysteine levels in the blood. Homocysteine present in the blood leads to heart diseases and can also lead to problems in the arteries.

This can include balk tea, is a great addition for black tea, simply boil a cup of water and pour a tea bag in it, steep it for around 10-15 minutes and then drink. Ginger and cayenne tea can also be a great addition to your diet, it helps you to increase the production of gastric juices.

Last but not the least; we have Goji berries to our list, as it has been used for several medical purposes since ancient times. There are researches that suggest goji berries have more antioxidant properties as compared to other fruits, apart from raisins. Moreover, it is also found that diabetes patient that consumed these berries can benefit by reducing the production of insulin. The berries become a great breakfast food and can be added to cereal or oatmeal. These foods do become very beneficial for good health and thus are recommended to be added to the diet.
